WHAT IS PRAYER AND HOW DO WE USE IT?
Prayer is an exercise of intelligence, proper planning and Faith. Life offers up a variety of issues and questions to chew and digest. When thinking about anything, it is important to have a calm state of mind, in order to rationalize what is happening and weight the answers in regards to our responsibilities that the situation calls for which we are praying about.
Are we speaking to Jesus / God when we pray? Yes! Jesus wants you to be honest with yourself and hold yourself to a higher standard. To make a righteous decision towards what is prayed for; ask yourself, is it a good idea to stop, think and weight your answers? When things get emotional, “Prayer”, allows us to focus the mind, rather than ride emotions into a dark place. During Prayer, we speak to Jesus in order to get to God. Both are VERY REAL! So who is Jesus? Who is God? Are they one in the same? These questions you must answer for yourself. The Bible gives us answers to all of these questions if you are searching for them.
Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me”. Reading Jesus’s statement, we see that Jesus is the Truth. Never, does Jesus say something or conclude anything that is incorrect. This is how we get to the High moral standard. So how does Jesus know this standard? Like any other son from a good home (or Kingdom if you’re Jesus). Jesus pays homage to his Father, God. Jesus explains this when he said, “If you know me, you know my Father”. Furthermore, God gives us the standard. God is good all the time. It is also up to us to except God in our lives. God does not force us to love him/her. So how can we have Gods love and live a good life everlasting?
The answer is Jesus. When we pray, the goal is to have Gods good love blossom throughout our lives. The flowering of the answer to our Prayers come through Jesus/Truth. When we are completely honest with ourselves in regards to the issues, we pray about. The outcome will be righteous. This is how Prayer works. At this moment, we are coming to the Father Here are some steps to help bring you to the Kingdom.
APPLICATION
When we pray, we realize something that need nurturing. This is good. Remember we have free will and must do this ourselves. Jesus is there to guide us along the way.
Slow down and humble yourself. The situations around us are separate from ourselves. Take a moment to relax and breathe. It is helpful to have a routine that does this. Our Father prayer can focus you to come to the truth. Reciting it can help ready yourself, while giving you a moment to NOT think about the topic we are praying about. Clear your mind.
Once you have read the Our Father and come to a good place, it is time to focus of the topic of prayer. Weight all options no matter where they may come from. You never know where the answer may lie. God is in everything even if you cannot see it. Remember Jesus is leading us to God.
Humble yourself and remember Jesus knows the way to a good life using truth. Do not stand in your own way. We do not know the answers to everything. That is why we are praying. Have Faith, Jesus love is true and he is the only way to God.
In order to receive the truth we must be ready for what comes. The truth is revealed when other positions present themselves in regards to what we are praying for once weighted and measured. There is no need to fear information outside yourself. Jesus will reveal the answers.
The more possibilities we have in regards to what we are praying about, the better informed we are. Once we hear and see all of the surrounding ideas regarding our prayer, think about all of the options genuinely. Jesus will show you what is right. He will lead you to the Father. God is good all the time.
REST- Yes rest. Do not second-guess yourself. God is never wrong. Understand that you have made the right choice. No matter what, stand firm in your answer, God has a plan. Jesus reassures us we are a part of it. The Kingdom is a wonderful place, once you see it you will never want to leave.
JESUS IS WAITING FOR YOU NOW
